Admission Procedure
How to Apply?
Thank you for your interest in studies at the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT).
All the applicants have to go through a regular process of
admission which includes filling of application form till they
qualify the merit list and if found eligible, will be fortunate
to get admission in CIIT. Due to the limited number of seats
in each program, above average grades usually entitle one
for admission into a program. In order for any application
to be assessed, the university must receive a complete
application form along with required documents. The
applicant has to meet the competence standard in order to
qualify for admission. One must meet both the general
requirements and the prerequisites for specific faculties and
programs on offer. Some programs may have specific
requirements and details of these can be found in the relevant
program description.
How and When to Apply
Review the information in the CIIT Prospectus and the
programs of each Faculty at respective campuses. Determine
the campus and Faculty within which your desired program
is being offered and then decide where you want to study.
Keep in mind that at CIIT, you are admitted to a Faculty
and not just to the University. In addition to the academic
criteria, proficiency in English Language is also important
as the mode of instruction is English. Instead of wasting
time and energy in going through the application process,
you must self-check whether you meet this criteria. You
should be clear why you have chosen CIIT and the particular
program you are applying for, before embarking on filling
out the form as it will save you a lot of hassle. To be eligible
for admission in the Fall Semester you need to apply
in June when the admissions would be announced in
the print media and on the university website. Similarly for
admission in Spring semester, you need to make your
application in December. Incomplete admission forms
and late applications will not be entertained.
