CIIT Abbottabad Scholarship Schemes

CIIT follows a well spelt-out modus operandi to provide financial assistance to students who are good in studies but are handicapped due to financial constraints. A special fund is allocated to cater to the needs of the deserving students. For this purpose Financial Assistance Committees operate on all campuses to look into such cases. The different arrays of facilities which are provided under the monitory assistance program are briefly discussed below. Read further and apply for the financial assistance as required ;

1)  Worker Welfare Fund

  • These scholarships are for talented children of industrial workers.
  • These scholarships are also awarded to those workers who intend to improve their
  • educational qualification/skill

2)  PEEF

    Scholarships to talented and needy students from Punjab province alone.
  • Applicants having a Punjab domicile
  • 60% marks in intermediate can apply in bachelor level.
  • 2.5 GPA is required for Masters Level Scholarships.
  • Family Income >15000
  • Passed last degree from Govt of Punjab School/College.
  • Having passed the degree not more than one more.

  • Provides fully funded scholarship
  • For study at undergraduate level in all disciplines
  • Provides expenses like University Fee plus stipend

4)  PM’s program for FATA & GB (Tuition Fee Payment Scheme)

  • This scheme envisages that students from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA will be provided tuition fee by the federal government
  • Offer scholarships for PhD students of Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA

6)  PEC Scholarship

  • Merit scholarships for postgraduate and undergraduate talented/deserving students,
  • Registered with the Engineering Universities/ Institutions of Pakistan for Masters and Bachelor of Engineering.
  • Sons/Daughters of engineers registered with PEC. Applications are invited yearly by PEC.

  • Provides financial support for employees of Federal Government.
  • Scheme includes stipend for Bachelors and Masters level students.

8)  ICT R & D Scholarship

  • Provides fully funded 4 year undergraduate degree.
  • From rural/non-metropolitan areas of Pakistan.
  • Objective is to develop human resource capacity in the fields of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Pakistan.

10)  HEC-French Needs Based Scholarship

  • Provides undergraduate level scholarships.
  • Fresh students, fall 2013, of the given disciplines (listed below) are eligible
  • At least 25% scholarships will be for female students.
  • The deserving students can get Scholarship Application Form available at Student Financial Aid Office (SFAO).
  • The Scholarship Form is submitted along with supporting documents only at SFAO office.

11)  HEC-German Needs Based Scholarship

  • Mainly, the scholarships are for the students of FATA and Balochistan. The student of deprived areas of Pakistan may also apply.
  • French students, fall 2013, of the following disciplines are eligible
  • At least 25% scholarships will be for female students

12)  Prime Minister fee reimbursement Scheme for the less Developed areas

Federal Government of Pakistan has announced the Prime Minister Fee Reimbursement Scheme for the Less Developed areas. All the Masters, MS/M.Phil students having the Domicile of Balochistan, Gilgit/Baltistan, FATA, Interior Sindh, South Punjab, Attock, Mianwali, Khoshab, Malakand, Kohistan, Shangla, Swat, Chitral, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Buner, Tank and DI Khan, areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa studying or intend to secure admission can avail this opportunity, if they secure admission in the universities located in their native areas are eligible to apply for the said scholarship scheme. However the tuition fee facility will be provided to all the Ph.D students of these areas studying or intend to secure admission in any Public Sector University of Pakistan.

14)  Kinship/Siblings Concession

When two or more siblings are concurrently students of CIIT, Rs 8000/- in fee concession to each sibling is admissible provided both maintain good academic standing. This concession will be subject to an application supported by:
Copies of NIC or "B" form of the students
Copy of father’s NIC
Copy of paid challan forms for the recent semester

15)  Taleem Fund (Previous Practice)

All the employees of CIIT contribute 1% of gross salary in addition to the 2 % contributed by CIIT towards Taleem Fund. This fund is distributed in students on need-cum merit basis in every semester as Financial Assistance to meet their tuition fee expenses. The student has to apply through his/her department and after giving interview to the Taleem Fund Committee he/she gets a full or partial waiver in the tuition fee, on need-cum-merit basis.
