Students' Week 2015

 

For healthy community, it is necessary to produce graduates capable of innovating ideas and predicting the future, thus making them the leaders in different areas. In this essence, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Abbottabad is not only imparting quality education but also arranging some other activities for physical health and attaining confidence in social life. In this regard, Students’ week is always arranged in every semester and becomes a part of semester schedule. Students’ week is composed of different sports and stage activities.

In this semester of Fall 2015, the students’ week was commenced on 2nd of November, 2015, at 11:30 am. The director of COMSATS, Abbottabad, Professor Dr. Khan Gul Jadoon and Chief Guest Mr. M Siddiq Shah Bukhari, former secretary of sports, KPK, inaugurated this event with full swing. The sky was filled with shining colorful papers and balloons. At that time, the students represented their departments in sports and stage activities. The director of COMSATS presented shield to the Chief Guest. There were around twelve hundred students participated in various sports and stage activities. The games started with Tug of War between block Z and block A. The winner was Block A. The major sports that were carried out during students’ week are Cricket, Football, Table tennis (single and double), Badminton (single and double), squash, Volleyball, Basketball, and four hundred meters Race etc.
