CIIT Abbottabad's Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering and Pharmacy Department in Jinnah Basic Boys College, Mansehra

Presentation on Career Paths and Future Prospects conducted by Dr. Sajid Hussain, Assistant Professor, Computer Sciences department, Muhammad Hassham Hassan, Lecturer Pharmaceutical Sciences Dept., and Ms. Rabya Bahadur, Assistant Professor EE Dept of CIIT Abbottabad in Jinnah Basic Boys College, Mansehra.

In collaboration with Mr. Liaqat Ali Khan of Jinnah Basic Boys College, Mansehra. A team of six individuals from CIIT Abbottabad comprising of Dr. Sajid Hussain, Assistant Professor, Computer Sciences department, Hassham Hassan, Lecturer Pharmaceutical Sciences Dept., and Ms. Rabya Bahadur, Assistant Professor EE Dept. along with four students of EE Dept. and members of the IEEE Organization of CIIT Abbottabad visited the Jinnah Basic Boys College, Mansehra on February 23, 2016 at 9:30 am.

The first session was conducted by Mr. Muhammad Hassham Hassan of Pharmaceutical Sciences department. He gave a presentation keeping in mind the Pre-Medical students and gave them an outline of what are the career options after their HSSC in pre-medical. There are more avenues available to them apart from MBBS. He elaborated on Medicine, Veterinary medicine, (DVM), Dentistry (BDS), Pharmaceutical Sciences, and physiotherapy. A number of questions were asked by the students at the conclusion of the first session.

The second session was conducted by Ms. Rabya Bahadur of EE dept. Four students from the IEEE-Hertz society of CIIT Abbottabad conducted an activity with the students of the college. They made a small conductor by using a small coin. The activity was appreciated and enjoyed by the students. After the activity Ms. Rabya Bahadur gave a presentation on career options and state of the art in Engineering fields.

The third session was conducted by Dr. Sajid Hussain Shah, Assistant Professor of Computer Sciences department. He gave an interesting talk on the various aspects of Computer Sciences, and Software Engineering. He showed interesting videos to the students to highlight various areas. He told four stories

In the last session, feedback forms were circulated among the students to gather some insight about what they think about the session in general and what have they planned for their future and career.
